Mapping the distribution of plant species and vegetation is a powerful tool to understand the ecological functioning of ecosystems. A&W has carried out vegetation surveys for about 30 years in a wide array of ecosystems. Approach, level of detail and scope are dependent on demand, varying from inventories of individual plant species to habitat surveys of for instance wetlands, grasslands or coastal dune areas. The output supports the conservation design and planning.
