Marine and coastal development

Many of our employees have their ecological roots in the Dutch Wadden Sea, proverbially just a stone’s throw from our office. They are well acquainted with the ecological processes in intertidal and marine ecosystems. Field research on the food web (fish, benthic invertebrates) and migratory birds as waders and geese, offers our ecologists the expertise to provide input for conservation issues, monitoring, impact assessments and management plans. With respect to offshore wind farms and other activities A&W focuses on the ecological aspects of these developments. We conduct monitoring and ecological research on seabirds and marine mammals.
